Just for Fun
Sometimes in life, it’s amazing to stop what you are doing and just have fun! It’s shocking how unnoticed, our daily routine, can be. Sometimes I will joke with Ryan and say I feel like I am living the movie Groundhogs Day. So, thinking about Mango Ink cards mixed in with aNeMonE paper flowers and Matt Shumate, we started brainstorming. Matt Shumate is one of those people that is doing what he is made to do. He LOVES his work and you cannot spend two minutes with him and NOT get that. Ryan and I have read and read and read SO many books that have inspired us and speak such truth into our lives about business and passion that you can spot it a mile away when someone else has that “thing” that we all are striving to have. So, even though our lives are crazy busy and truthfully cannot fit ONE more thing into it, we did this fun shoot with an amazing team. It was actually one of those decisions that brought life and inspiration to our souls. So, check out the shoot images and video here. Ryan and his love of airplanes is the real deal. Coming up on 18 years of marriage, I can honestly say THIS is a love that dates back to his childhood. One that is a teeny bit close to an obsession. When traveling, he is the guy listening to the pilots talk to air traffic control (when we used to be able to), the one who knows the type of plane we are on before we get to the airport, and the one who told me he wishes he was that guy who holds those flags and directs the plane to the gates just to be near them. When he lived in Haiti as a pre-teen, he actually sat in the cockpit and flew a plane full of passengers. (Scary!) So, out of his heart and soul, this air line was created. And also in Ryan style, these had to be simple & clean.
So for the lover of airplanes, traveling, seeing the world and living in awe and wonder, these are for you too!

Just like moving into a new house, there are always things that need to be rearranged and moved around a bit before you are totally settled. That’s what’s happening here! At the launch of our new site in August, we thought it would be super simple to put everything into one category and it would be magical. Now we realize, simplicity became complexity. So, now, cards and wall art are in separate places and it feels oh.so.good!

Take note of the “previous” design listed (see orange arrow with design name next to it) as you visit each page for ease of seeing each design without going back to the catalog. Also be sure and notice the white and grey arrows next to the design itself to see the backs of each design.
As you know with Mango Ink, all text can be changed to anything you love. All colors can be changed to anything you love. Today Steve Jobs died. Why is it that we can be so affected by the death of someone we’ve never met? What does it mean that thousands of people are being moved to write eulogies for someone they have never known? Why am I even writing this?
It means Steve Jobs was, of course, one of those people that will be remembered throughout history. He lived passionately, inspirationally, and he lived life to the fullest and because of that this world will not forget him easily. Nor will I.
That Apple logo is everywhere. I see it every day, I use products that carry it every day, and, from now on, every time I see it, I will be reminded of a man who lived life well.
My favorite tag line of Apple was “think different”. Sometimes that’s what it takes to break the same old systems that run this world. May we all think a little differently and make this world a better, more beautiful, place.
Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.
breast cancer awareness
in honor of my friend lori, who lost her battle with cancer yesterday. our hearts break for her husband and kids. she already is so terribly missed. this is for you lori… for the beautiful strength and grace you faced each treatment. while breast cancer is not the form of cancer she battled, it is fitting for us to participate in breast cancer awareness month in her honor.
